Peace with God

To be at peace with God is a blessing, a true gift that gives not just a "sense" of well being, but true well being... being well with your creator.... being well with your family and friends, being well with many of the challenges life has for you... today... tomorrow... and as only true well being can... for eternity. Simply by recieving this gift from God, He can begin to dwell in you, making changes in your life not only through contol of the external, but though real change and growth internally, allowing you to see and appreciate all the goodness of life that may now be difficult to discern.

Recognizing our inability to live a life worthy of God's perfect standard and thus eternal life is key. This is why Christ died, as a gift of payment for your sins, knowing that we are sinners. To receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is not simply a choice you make, but a command God is giving you...

"1 John 3:23 " And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.".

By recognizing your sin, repenting from it, and accepting this gift that only Jesus' death can provide (payment for them for all time), you are thereby being sanctified...

1 Corinthians 6:11 "But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

A simple praryer, answering the call Jesus has out to you....

Revelation 3:30 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

If you've read this and understand it's meaning, and this is really something you want to do, simply pray this prayer and begin a life with Christ Jesus...

Lord God, your life and character are eternally holy. Your will is that I be sinless, and I ask that this be done. It is something I cannot attain through my own efforts, however, and yet something I need desparately for my salvation. Sin had a hold on me, but I'm asking that the life of Jesus, His perfect life, be offered in my place, that His blood pay for these sins and allow me to become a child of yours, God. This prayer is made through the name of Jesus, who I accept as my Lord and Savior. I repent of my sins and pray that you would help me recognize them in my life, giving me strength to resist whenever possible, and providing grace through Jesus if I should fail, helping me to forgive others as you forgive me now seeing his perfect life in place of mine. Through your holy power and grace I commit my life into your hands; in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
